Elizabeth & Joseph's Wedding

Elizabeth & Joseph's Wedding

Come join us on our special day(s) for some food and some drink and a lot of fun and a wedding and a couple of parties.

What's going on?

A wedding! Plus, not one, but two receptions! Because we want to share our joy with as many people as we can, while understanding that everyone is very, very busy and a lot of people can't travel as much as they might like, we've decided to try to cover as many bases as possible and have a reception following our wedding ceremony in California and a brunch in Milwaukee.

Plus, two parties are better than one.

We're not expecting anyone to show up at both, but if you like partying twice, you're perfectly welcome.

When is it?

California: May 9, 2009, 3:00 PM

Wisconsin: Sunday, June 28, 11:00AM

Where is it?

The festivites for the California affair will be held in our backyard in lovely Sunnyvale, CA.

Liz and Joe's House,
854 Cedar Ave.
Sunnyvale, CA.

The Wisconsin operation will be held at the Hubbard Park Lodge in Shorewood:

Hubbard Park Lodge
3565 N. Morris Blvd
Shorewood, WI 53211 US

What about kids?

Of course you can bring kids! We love children, we think they're delicious!

Ha! I kid, I kid.

Children are very much welcome at both events.

How we met...

Joe and Liz met at Marquette University in 1991. It took Joe a little while to figure out the best way to ask Liz out, but he finally managed to do it a mere 10 years later. It took Joe even less time to ask Liz to marry him, only 8 years! Joe is known for moving at breakneck speed in these situations, as you can clearly see.

What's the deal about camera flash?

After talking to friends about their weddings, we found that they all really liked their profressionally taken photographs, but would have liked to have better coverage. In the past you may have seen disposable 35 mm cameras at weddings provided to address this, but film is so last century. Since Liz works at Patriot Memory, we would like to provide a memory card compatable with each person's camera* so they may take pictures at the wedding and upload them at the end without worrying about uploading pictures that may have previously been on their normal memory card. Not that we don't want to see pictures of your cats, dogs, or children, or children playing with cats, children playing with dogs, dogs playing with cats, or mass hysteria, but we respect your privacy and you can show us those on facebook like the rest of the planet. Then you keep that memory card to use and enjoy in the future. Please.

Where are you registered?

Miss Manners thinks it is crass to directly tell people where you are registered. We think Miss Manners is the presiding chair of a sinister cabal that has turned planning a wedding into a logistical nightmare, full of secret rules and hidden fees. We're registered at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

*Unless it's a Sony that takes memorystick memory, Patriot doesn't make any of that.
Website by Joe. As if you couldn't tell.
